Before leaving Koh Tao and beginning our long journey home, we decided to take a short taxi boat ride to the nearby island of Nang Yuan. The island has two main parts that are attached by a narrow sand spit. It is the location that is often seen on posters that advertise traveling in Thailand. The amazingly clear water was filled with colorful fish. We rented snorkel gear and floated among the fish above the coral reef for a couple of hours.
